The Metro Summer League is proud to announce 4 new teams joining the Collegiate League for our 4th season which is set to begin in June 2016.
Joining the Metro Summer League, will be MSL franchises Team Citius, Dallas Yankees, Grapevine Bluejays and the MSL Rangers will join the other league teams competing against these new teams will be Alpha Omega Insurance, Arlington Barracudas, Collin County Hooks, DBAT Dallas, MSL Marlins, and the MSL Rockies. Our league which has been in existence since 2013 is working towards establishing itself as a great collegiate league in the Southwest.
Our Collegiate league bridges the gap for college players that need to work, take summer school or do both. “The MSL Collegiate league will allow local DFW players to come back home, sleep in their own beds, while playing good competition and maintaining their skills." says League Commissioner, Lyndal Weaver. “It’s all about reps for the players.” Weaver added. This league provides a great opportunity for collegiate players of all divisions.
The league will play a 27 to 30 game schedule and be comprised of 10 teams with college players from all over the Southwest. The league will also feature a preseason and postseason tournament. We will play on fields in Dallas, Garland, Grapevine, Flower Mound, McKinney and Richardson.
Facts about the league
- Games will be played on fields in DFW Metroplex
- Each player must have one year of college eligibility left.
- All players must sign up online in-order to play in the league.
